1814 (3rd) edition: [A]-Z⁸ Aa-Zz⁸ Aaa-Zzz⁸ 4A-4Q⁸ 4R⁴ A*-U*⁸ A-T⁸ U⁴ A-Z⁸ Aa-Hh⁸ A-S⁴; 28.6 x 23.5 cm. The printer's imprint, "Printed and sold by Collins and Co.," is at the bottom of the title page. The volume is bound in tan calf over boards, with the title, "HOLY BIBLE," stamped in gilt in a red calf label on the spine, along with horizontal rules and the number 8 at the bottom of the spine. Both covers are blank. The endpapers are of the same white rag paper as the text pages; the left front endpaper is covered by a sheet of modern white notebook paper, to which has been pasted a mutilated flyleaf which bears the ownership note, "The Property of Julia Rumney Presented by her Friend & Nephew John H. Pilcher. Feby. 5th, 1815." There is also in the voume a small embroidered ownership tag (1.5 x 7.1 cm.) with the name, "Edward Beals." The title page has the full title, publisher, and date and place of publication. This edition includes a preface, "To the Reader," by John Witherspoon in place of the dedication to King James I of England.
