The volume is stitched with a white thread in a tan paper wrapper, with the title in Old English letters enclosed within an engraving of a wreath within double-ruled borders on both the front and back covers; the spine is blank. The frontispiece has an engraving of a robed pastor at a lectern in a church; another engraving of a traveler resting with his walking stick and Bible is on p. 24. The title page has the title, publisher, and date and place of publication. The text pages are of plain white paper. An unattributed poem, "The Pastor," is on pp. [22]-24.
