First edition: [A]²⁰ B-I¹⁶ K-U¹⁶ X-Y¹⁶ Z¹²; [i]-[xx] [1]-128 129-304 305-336 337-[342],[i]-vi; 22.7 x 16 cm. The printer's imprint, "Printed by George Roberts, Dublin," is at the bottom of the title page verso. The volume is bound in forest green cloth over boards, with the author/title and publisher stamped in gilt on the spine; both covers are blank. The endpapers are of plain white paper; the right front endpaper bears the inscription, "In memory of my visit to you in Buffalo, With best wishes, Margaret Pearse, October 9th, 1924." The frontispiece is a photograph of the author. The title page has the author/title, publisher, and date and place of publication; its verso contains copyright data. The text pages are of Antique DeLuxe white laid paper. The Appendix is paginated in small Roman numerals separately from the text. The Rare Book Room copy is accompanied by a card from the donor explaining the circumstances of the book's acquisition.
