The volume is half-bound in black morocco over boards marbled in brown, white, and blue; the covers are blank, and the spine is missing. The endpapers and text pages are of plain white paper; the left front endpaper bears the ownership sticker of the "Young Men's Association, Buffalo, N.Y." The title page has the title, authors, publisher, and and date and place of publication, and bears the handstamp in purple, "YOUNG MEN'S LIBRARY, BUFFALO." The right rear endpaper bears a check-out card pocket from the Buffalo Public Library.
