The volume is quarter-bound in green cloth with paper over boards, with the title, publisher, and color illustration by the author on the front cover, which also has a hole (ca. 1.8 x 1.4 cm.) in its center. The hole plays a role in the color endpaper design, also by the author. The back cover is orange with a yellow diamond shape (14 x 9 cm.) in the center; the spine is blank. The volume is protected by a dustjacket of blank thin tan paper. The title page has the author, publisher, and illustration by the author. The title page verso has copyright data and another illustration. The text pages (unpaginated) have large and small illustrations by the author throughout.
