Author Notes

Television and motion picture actor John Travolta was born in Englewood, New Jersey on February 18, 1954. He dropped out of school when he was 16 to become an actor.

Travolta starred as Vinnie Barbarino in the sitcom Welcome Back, Kotter, and has appeared in a wide array of movies, including Carrie, The Boy in the Plastic Bubble, Saturday Night Fever (for which he received an Oscar nomination), Grease, Urban Cowboy, Look Who's Talking, Pulp Fiction, Face\Off, A Civil Action and The General's Daughter.

An avid aviation enthusiast, in 1997 he published a book titled Propeller One-Way Night Coach.
