The printer's imprint, "Printed by Simmons & Botten, Shoe Lane, E.C.," appears at the bottom of the last text page (p. 192). The binder's imprint, "Fred Korsmeier, Bookbinder, 1030 Polk St., San Francisco 9, Calif.," is on a sticker in the lower left corner of the back cover verso. The left front endpaper bears an ownership card printed, "William Duncan, M.D., Tyldesley, No., with the pencilled number "1758." The front endpaper bears the the handwritten note, "A gift to Mildred Leo Clemens for the Mark Twain Memorial Library at the University of California (Berkeley), April 1949; Presented by Fred Korsmeier, bookbinder of San Francisco."
