The volume is bound in floret-patterned paper in red, blue, white, and brown over gray laid cardboard, with the front cover bearing an engraved caricature of the letter "V". The flyleaves and text pages are of bluish-gray laid paper, with the text hand set in Verona types in black ink, and with more letter caricatures as illustrations in brown ink. The title page includes the author and title and the beginning of the text. The publisher's name and address are found on page [12].
