Reviews 1

School Library Journal Review

Gr 2-6-Greetings, numbers, colors and essential survival phrases are just some of the topics covered here. Although aimed at young children, this program can also be used by older children and adults to learn or review basic Spanish vocabulary and phrases. The pop and rock music and songs help keep viewers' interest. The listen-and-repeat format includes a delay in response with the answer to help learners check their progress. Words and phrases are displayed onscreen in both English and Spanish as they are read. The accompanying live-action visuals reinforce the concept or term and depict diverse children and adults. For individual or group use.-Denise A. Garofalo, Mid-Hudson Library System, Poughkeepsie, NY (c) Copyright 2010. Library Journals LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc.
