The preface deals mainly with the Indians' right to the land.

The principal poem (p. 19-78) is entitled: A brief account of the Agency of the Honourable John Winthrop, esq; in the court of King Charles the Second, anno Dom. 1662. When he obtained for the Colony of Connecticut His Majesty's gracious charter.

"Advertisement" (3 p. at end), signed Joseph Dewey, concerns the preparation and weaving of wool.
