Library Journal Review

Launched in October, Windows XP is Microsoft's first operating system to incorporate elements of its .NET initiative. The Office Suite marketed alongside it includes Word, Outlook, Access, Excel, FrontPage, PowerPoint, and a new entry, Publisher. Step by Step is the only title that covers Publisher. Otherwise, these books contain roughly the same material, use similar approaches, and are written for beginning to intermediate users. Purchase according to your patrons' preferences. A full-color book with a nice mix of text and screenshots, Step by Step is excellent for apprehensive users. (c) Copyright 2010. Library Journals LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc.
