Summary

Summary

With this book, students will understand respiration and be able to trace the path of air through their own bodies, as the oxygen is extracted and the carbon dioxide is put back into the atmosphere. Written in clear and engaging prose, My Lungs is a perfect introduction to this complex process.

School Library Journal Review

K-Gr 3-These attractive titles give enough basic information for readers to understand the functions and importance of the ears and lungs, respectively, without getting confused. Both books show the anatomy, describe how the organs work, and briefly discuss diseases. Terms are defined within the easy-to-read texts and important points are restated in the picture captions. The illustrations and diagrams consist of photographs of 3-D models; they are uncluttered, colorful, and informative. Ears gives more information than Katherine Goode's Ears (Blackbirch, 2000) and Lungs is comparable to David A.
