Summary

Summary

Evelyn Girot and her husband Charles are keeping secrets -- from themselves, from each other, and most importantly, from the occupying Nazi forces in Southern France. In the trying circumstances of World War II, it's hard to trust anyone, but Evelyn and Charles must learn to trust each other if they -- and the French Resistance -- are to survive. Set in Nice, France, Evelyn must discover her own inner strength and values while Charles is faced with the horrible choice of trusting his wife with secrets that could get her killed or keeping silent and bearing the burden alone of his mission to help the Resistance. During their trials, they must face spies, soldiers, betrayal and much more. Can they overcome these obstacles, help the Resistance movement, and somehow keep their love alive?
