Summary

The only 100 percent effective way to practice safe sex is to abstain from sexual contact completely. Teens are encouraged to look at this very practical option in a world where AIDS and other STDs are rampant.

School Library Journal Review

Gr 5 - Up; The Lees provide a good basic understanding of what causes these natural phenomena and how to stay safe when they occur. For those teens unlucky enough to experience them, the book also lists positive, helpful ways to overcome the stress and feelings of loss that usually accompany a diasater. Rather than focusing on the simple relief at surviving, the authors acknowledge the fear, depression, and anger that post-traumatic stress disorder victims often feel. (c) Copyright 2010.
