Booklist Review

Passion and intrigue underscore this suspenseful Regency romance. On returning to his family's Cornwall estate after a five-year sojourn in the Caribbean, dashing swashbuckler Rafael Carstairs hastily weds lovely Victoria Abermarle in order to secure her inheritance and protect her virtue from the lecherous advances of his unscrupulous twin brother. Although the newlyweds are instantly drawn to each other, their desire is thwarted by several unfortunate cases of mistaken identity and by a painful secret Victoria is determined to keep from her husband. Banding together to quash an insidious secret society plaguing the Cornish countryside, Rafael and Victoria triumph over the demons of both the past and the present. A spicy historical melodrama. --Margaret Flanagan

Library Journal Review

Set in 1813 Cornwall, this historical romance finds the beautiful‘of course‘Victoria Abermarle fleeing from the beastly Baron Damien Carstairs into the arms of his gentle and kind twin, Rafael. Talk about sibling rivalry! This is the first hardcover edition of the 1988 original from the best-selling Coulter. Severn House books are available at a discount (800-830-3044). (c) Copyright 2010. Library Journal Review

Good beach reading, Coulter's 1987 historical romance finds the beauteous and brainy Frances Kilbracken forced into marriage with the roguish Hawk (yes, I did say, Hawk). After fulfilling his conquest of Frances, Hawk abandons her and is smitten by a mystery woman, who actually isguess who? (c) Copyright 2010.
