Library Journal Review

This book reads like a textbook incorporating all the knowledge that the author has collected over years of teaching needlepoint. The meat of the book is in the first four chapters, which cover tools and materials, beginning a project, a glossary of 400 stitches (including working notes for each stitch), and blocking and finishing needlepoint pieces. Quite frankly, the projects included are less than inspiring, and the stitch glossary would have benefited greatly from being in color rather than black-and-white. But there is so much good information here for the experienced stitcher that this is still recommended for public libraries where the level of interest in needlepoint is high. (c) Copyright 2010.
