Intended for electrical designers, inspectors, installers, estimators, apprentices-in-training, contractors, and others engaged in specifying and calculating minimum/maximum ratings of electrical conductors and equipment, this handbook is organized and outlined for "classroom use" primarily. Seven chapters treat "Basic Calculations"; "Wiring Methods"; "Lighting and Appliance Branch Circuits"; "Feeders for Power and Light"; "Services; "Motor Circuits"; and "Transformers" (up to 600 volts). Written to ensure that all calculations and specifications conform to the National Electrical Code (NEC), reference is made throughout to applicable sections of the NEC for greater detail as to code requirements. Many worked examples of typical electrical construction calculations, applications, and worksheets for electrical systems in residential, commercial, institutional, recreational, and industrial facilities are shown, as well as many pictorial illustrations of electrical equipment. No problems are provided for student solution, however, strictly limiting "classroom" usefulness. The index is keyed to pages numbered by chapter.
