Booklist Review

Ages 6^-9. These two new entries in the Easy Crafts series present appealing and mostly accessible projects that kids will enjoy making. Bead projects range from the very simple (stringing pasta beads) to the more sophisticated (self-hardening beads). Some, such as curly carrot beads, certainly require adult help, in this case, cutting carrots with a paring knife. Sewing projects also range from the elementary--making a place mat--to decorating clothing. Step-by-step colored-pencil illustrations are both appealing and easy to follow. --Ilene Cooper
