Choice Review

The principal event of 1963 spawned thousands of reports, documents, books, and articles. Until this reference guide appeared, no organized way existed of getting at this vast amount of information. The book has two sections. The first, "People and Places," lists alphabetically with annotations all the important figures, both well-known and more obscure, related to the assassination; the second is a selected bibliography characterized by completeness and objectivity that includes publications of all kinds--newspaper articles to dissertations to television documentaries to fictionalized accounts. It includes materials from the Warren Commission as well as items relating to the numerous conspiracy theories. An excellent research tool, recommended highly for all levels. D.
