Summary

Summary

Make fabulous home decorations without sewing a stitch and in less than two hours! You can revitalize a room or even give it a whole new look. It's amazing how many easy ways you'll be able to transform fabric into soft furnishings and to use it to enhance decorative accents. Give an old chair cushion new life by stretching a scarf over it and stapling it to the underside. Turn a papier m#65533;ch#65533; egg into a dazzling "acorn" by glitter-spraying it and adorning it with bugle beads, fabric scraps, and seed beads. Snap two cloth panels together to create a fantastic bedspread. Or lend charm to a garden bench seat with pillows that are secured with sheer ribbon wrapped and tied around them. Whether you're whipping up curtains or embellishing a folding screen, you won't need a sewing machine! A Main Selection of BOMC's Crafters Book Club. The author lives in Ogden, UT. 128 pages (all in color), 8 1/2 x 11. NEW IN PAPERBACK

Library Journal Review

No-sew fabric projects appeal to sewers and nonsewers alike. Dunkley gives instructions for a variety of home decorating projects such as lampshades, floorcloths, curtains, and pillows. Although her instructions are clearly written and offer color photographs of the completed projects, those inexperienced with fabric crafts could use more illustrations. The styles here are more elaborate than seen in Juliet Bawden's No-Sew Soft Furnishings (LJ 5/15/99). Purchase for public libraries where there is a strong interest in easy craft projects.
