Thomas Schmidt, a former newspaper reporter and editor, has written twelve books on natural history. An accomplished outdoorsman, Thomas has traveled the entire length of the Lewis and Clark Trail: Starting in St. Louis, he crossed the plains, traversed the Rockies, and then canoed down the Columbia River through the Columbia River Gorge to the Pacific Ocean. Thomas makes his home not far from the Lewis and Clark Trail in the western foothills of the Tetons.
Jeremy Schmidt is a writer and photographer who specializes in natural history and outdoor subjects. As an adventurer, Jeremy has traveled to remote settings and wilderness areas all over North America and to all continents except Antarctica. Jeremy lives in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
