Though He Had the Look of a Guilty Man, Cole Jasper Had Saved Her Life. Now She Had A Chance To Repay the Debt....

Abbie Farrel is just beginning to settle back into living again after the financial crises that have rocked her ranch since her husband's death. With the rugged Cole Jasper back as her foreman, Abbie dares to hope that his laughter and steady hand will bring serenity to the ranch, and perhaps even to her heart. But trouble comes calling in the form of two bounty hunters, and it's Cole they capture, claiming they'll take him dead or alive. Wanted for the death of a saloon girl in El Paso, Cole is beaten near death, then tied to a horse for the journey back to Texas and a hanging trial.

Whirling with questions of his innocence, Abbie knows only one thing: Honor has once again forced her hand. Along with her stable hand and a Comanche guide, Abbie heads for Texas, determined to save Cole from certain death on the trail and trusting God to bring the right man to justice.

Library Journal Review

After coping with the death of her husband and the threat of bankruptcy, Abbie Farrel finally starts to enjoy life on her ranch again. Her newfound happiness is fostered by the return of Cole Jasper, the ranch foreman who once loved her. But Cole brings trouble; two bounty hunters are on his heels for the murder of a saloon girl, and his own brother is convinced of his guilt. Cole doesn't think it can be straightened out, but Abbie's belief in his innocence and in God's intervention make him begin to see that the Lord just might care for him, too. Heitzmann (Honor's Price and Honor's Quest) offers another action-packed Western for fans of the series. (c) Copyright 2010. Library Journals LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc.
