Gr 5-9-Accessible snapshots of Civil War history. If not precisely "untold," their topics are generally treated only briefly in works devoted to this period. Each volume is arranged in a series of short chapters that focus on specific aspects of the main theme, such as "Blockades and Blockade-Runners," "Prisoners of the Yankees," and "Nurses of the Battlefields." The attractively packaged books are packed with relevant black-and-white photographs and reproductions.
