School Library Journal Review

Gr 9 Up-This is not the place to look for a history of battles, biographies of who-did-what, or Colonial anecdotes. Instead, The American Revolution contains 16 essays by well-known historians that center on the background, politics, and effects of the war. There is an extensive section of documents (Stamp Act resolutions, excerpts from first-person accounts, Articles of Confederation, etc.). An excellent resource for research.-Linda Beck, Indian Valley Public Library, Telford, PA (c) Copyright 2010. Library Journals LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc.
