Summary

Summary

Time-Life's Sounds of the Eighties: Essential 80's is about as essential a collection of the era's hits as Police Academy would be a summation of the decade's films. Retrospective stalwarts like "Walking on Sunshine" by Katrina & the Waves, "Mickey" by Toni Basil, and Ray Parker, Jr.'s "Ghostbusters" may be auditory windows into the age of the skinny tie, but at 12 measly cuts, Essential 80's is hardly worthy the trouble. ~ James Christopher Monger
