Summary

Summary

Just as she turned fifty, Mary Heron Dyer was fired from her social services job. As she anxiously pondered her future, she remembered reading that every fiftieth year the ancient Israelites gave up day-to-day routine and lived on stored abundance. The Year of Jubilee. She decided to claim her own Year of Jubilee, even though her only "stored abundance" was her passion for gardening -- and the belief that an unseen force would guide her.
