Summary

Summary

Until now, fathers have been the last undiscovered country. Even when they're in our midst, drinking coffee in the kitchen, tinkering in the garage, laughing, yelling, making us feel 3 inches high or 10 feet tall, our fathers are often mysterious. Far too often, the old-fashioned virtue of being the strong, silent type builds a wall between us and our fathers. Fathers aren't much for a lot of talk, and in the years before we leave home, few of us can count listening as our strong suit.
