Summary

Summary

AM Gold: Top 40 Treasures is a short, sweet collection of original '70s pop hits as performed by the original artists (which is always the case with Time Life discs). If you need a quick hit of what made the '70s the confusing and entertaining decade it was, just listen to the segue from Bo Donaldson's "Billy, Don't Be a Hero" to Marvin Hamlisch's "The Entertainer" to Jim Croce's "You Don't Mess Around with Jim." Though the disc is brief (too brief for anyone with a serious '70s jones), it might be just enough to satisfy the needs of a dabbler. ~ Tim Sendra
