Library Journal Review

Compiled mostly from a variety of public sources, this directory consists of three sections. The first and largest includes an alphabetical listing of individuals and firms that lobby in Washington, including annotations on the previous government experience of each when available. The second and third sections list, respectively, organizations represented in Washington and pertinent federal government agencies charged with legislative affairs. In addition, the volume contains three indexes and the full text of the 1995 Lobbying Disclosure Act. Although the defunct American Lobbyists Directory (Gale, 1990) provided a much larger listing of federal and state lobbyists, this directory includes 17,000 entries and is the most comprehensive source for lobbyists based in Washington.√ĄDonald Altschiller, Boston Univ.
